An executive at Hitachi-LG Data Storage (HLDS) has agreed to plead guilty of conspiracy to rig bids in the sale of optical disk drives. According to a four-count felony charge Woo Jin Yang, a senior sales manager at HLDS - a joint venture between Hitachi and LG Electronics - conspired with others to suppress and eliminate competition by rigging bids for optical disk drives which were sold to Hewlett Packard (HP).
